Taipei Itinerary (5 days 4 night) From Singapore

Taipei Itinerary (5 days 4 night)

Day 1 - Reached Taipei airport in the morning, if you need prepaid card, the counter operate from 8am onwards. It is worth it to purchase their prepaid card for data usage. Buy bus ticket (Hei Gou) to Ximending. Cost abt NT 120 per pax. Bus journey took around 1hr. Checked in to Innhouse hotel @ Ximending. As the checking timing is at 3pm, you can deposit your luggage at the counter. Buy train ticket at Ximen train station to go to Taipei main station. I will advise all to buy the travel card since the stay is short, not worth while to buy the tourist type. You can always top up the travel card instead of paying cash as bus do not have small change for you. This is important if you are going to Jiufen/Keelung. Visit Taipei 101 and Ding Tai Feng. Have some shopping time around the district as there are quite alot of shopping malls. Depart to Wufenpu, 10-15 mins walk from Taipei 101 to Raohe night market. You can follow the street signs or ask for direction.

Day 2 - Take train to Taipei main station, transfer to Danshui Line and head to Danshui. On the way, you may want to stop at Xinbeitou for hot spring as they are famous for it. Danshui old street is super huge, you will take quite sometime to cover all area. Try out their street food. To travel to fisherman village, you will need to purchase boat ticket @ NT 80 near the jetty. There are departure timing, hence ask for the timing before you check out other places. Travel to Shilin night market once you are done. It is advisable to reach there from 5pm onwards.

Day 3 - Travel to Taipei train station and purchase railway ticket to Keelung. There are certain timings and trains are limited, better to go there early around 9am. There should be a train departing around 9.20am. The rail train will take around 1hour to reach Keelung station. Take bus 788 to Jiufen. If you are not sure where to take, it bus stop if opposite the train station, corner side of the shops. There are guides available in the rail station for tourists. There are quite alot of street food in Jiufen. You can travel to Shifen if time allow, otherwise take bus 788 again to Keelung, journey will take around 45mins to reach. Recommended to visit Keelung night market after 6pm.

Day 4 - You can plan shopping at the stretch of street from Zhong Xiao Xin Sheng to Zhong Xiao fuxing. Alots of cafes and shops available. Night time to Shi Da night market, as the market is very small, it will take less than 2 hrs.

Day 5 - Free and easy
