Nana's Green Tea

Braving the afternoon lunch crowd, I had a taste of the matcha flavour food in this restaurant. Nana's Green Tea is located at Plaza Singapura and this is their first outlet. Special design of tables in the form of metal cage and wooden rectangle frames which are something special compare to the stable table top.

Matcha Latte with Matcha Ice cream - Strong matcha taste from the latte and the ice cream. The sweetness is acceptable and i highly recommended for this drink

Azuki Latte - Sweet and milky, bits of red beans can be found at the bottom of the drink. Easy to chew too

Locomoko Hamberg - Consist of a beef patty with tomato sauce being poured on top of it. Garnish consist of  tomato, lettuce and poached egg with Japanese rice are served together as well. Overall the dish is acceptable, however this make it feel like i am having pepper lunch instead. 

Salmon and Maguro Don - Drizzle the sesame oil over the salmon pieces. Making it more fragrant. Generous serving of salmon and maguro (tuna), but i will not recommend to those who can't really take raw food as it can be overwhelming. The freshness of the salmon is fairly normal.

Curry Chicken Cutlet Rice - Thin crispy chicken cutlet with curry sauce. Sauce is not very spicy, acceptable for non spicy eater. Serve with brown rice.

Verdict: 3.5 / 5

Firstly on the service, the waiting time for the food is quitefast. I waited like less than 10 mins for my food to arrive. Maybe they had already prepared before hand? Not quite sure on this but the food definitely is hot. Both soup and main dish arrive together. No complaint on that. Staffs are attentive to our needs as each of them have a caller with them.

Nice and clean environment. However, i feel that the price of the food is slightly steep compare to other japanese restaurant. Main dishes cost around $15.80, if it is not for the lunch promotion @ $11.90, i will not drop in to have my meal. Food taste fairly acceptable.

Manna Story is a Korean restaurant that serve authentic Korean cuisine. Beside the wonderful food that they serve, in house decorations are nice too.  Just look at the entrance of the stall, doesn't it look homely?

  

4 Sides Dishes if you order set meal - Include Kimchi, preserved radish, beansprouts and salted Ikan bilis  

Kimchi fried rice

Kimchi fried pancake - Crispy pancake with kimchi, vegetables, onions and bits of squids filling. Almost every bits there are filling in it. The pancake is mildly spicy. Dipped with the chili sauce provided enhance the spiciness of the pancake.

Bibimbab - Lots of vegetables such as carrots, beansprouts, mushrooms, seaweeds and choice of meat such as beef, pork or chicken. Do not be deceived by the plain presentation, the rice is actually very tasty. When mixed, it give all a nice fragrant and very delicious combination. Not spicy dish.

BBQ Chicken - Choice of meat include chicken, pork or beef. Mildly spicy and very nice when eat with rice.

Price:

Very authentic Korean food, price is reasonable too. The place give out a homely feeling.


Overall, i will still come back and visit this restaurant again for their food.

Ambush Singapore - Casual European Dining

Ambush @ Plaza Singapura, Singapore

Lunch set @ Ambush, each set are price from $10.90 onwards. Come with Soup of the day, a drink and main dish. Quite worth the price. 

Smoked Bratwurst - consisted of two bratwurst with rosti, sauergraut (sour cabbage), a portion of salad  and sour cream. The sausages were fresh and crispy, while the insides were still tender and juicy. 

Paella seafood - Generous giving of seafood 

Chicken leg

Chicken Schnitzel with Fries - Crispy on the outside, the meat is cooked firmly. Sauce is not very creamy, you will not feel overwhelming when eating with chicken.

Duck Confit on Mash - Crispy with nice decoration

Verdict: 3.5 / 5

Food taste ok, food decoration is good and really appetizing. Service is fast but the staffs are not attentive enough. Bill was passed to us very quickly after they cleared up our plates, is like asking us to leave already.
