Another new ice cream waffle parlour makes its way to the heartland of Toa Payoh - Shrove Tuesday!
Lots of unique ice cream flavours ready for your selection. Flavours available on the day of visit are: Mascarpone cheese, Sea salted caramel, Cookies and cream, Rum and raisin, Blackberry and many more. An unusual flavour Raspberry lychee rose gelato was spotted as well.
There is a small selection of cakes and brownies available at the counter display.

Mascarpone Cheese Gelato ($3.00) with Waffle ($5.00) - this home-made gelato was good, sweet-savoury and light. However, waffle was pale in comparison. It was crispy inside out, thus lack the thick, warm and moist features of a good waffle. It was quite 'empty' or airy on the inside. Waffle ice cream slightly pricey considering it at a heartland location. In addition, i feel the syrup used was wrong for such ice cream and waffle flavour combination. Recommended to use honey or maple syrup instead of chocolate syrup.
Mocha ($4.50) - Coffee was intense and good though. The amount of chocolate is not that great, hence the ratio between coffee is more than chocolate. Still, i like this kind of coffee with such strong coffee taste.

This cafe certainly has good ambiance for a good cup of coffee or sweet treats after a meal at nearby eatery. It is an ideal place for family, friends and couples to chill over and gather. It would be better if there is improvement in the overall texture of the waffle so that it would be as competitive as its neighbour, creamier which is just few void decks away. Overall, i will recommend for their coffee and Mascarpone Cheese Gelato only.
