If you visit Keelung night marketm do not forget to visit this stall to taste Taiwan seafood. Located in front of stall 36, this seafood stall sell a variety of seafood especially their signature dish - Butter Crabs

Prawns, oysters, shells, crabs - all are available

The seafood are cooked via BBQ, hmmm smell and taste nice

Signature dish = Old Soldier's Butter Crab @ NTD 200 per crab. Buttery taste and smell, the crab is very soft. The size and taste of the crab is more like flower crab.

Ginseng Prawns - 8 medium size prawns @ NTD 150. Very fresh and tasty. I really like this dish. Prawns are very sweet and fresh.

Conical shellfish - taste like escargot, not much of flavouring. pinch of salt are added.

Wala - nice supper @ Keelung night market

Taiwanese Omelette Roll/Wrap - Shi-Da Night Market (師大夜市)

Omelette Roll

Located at the end of Shi-Da Night Market, this stall sell local egg omelette roll. See the number of local queuing for the food, there must be something nice about it.

Flavours include: Original, cheese, ham, Mixed, Cabbage, corn, bacon egg roll

It is like a open concept, kitchen can be seen from the outside. The process of making is like doing the dough of prata.

Queue number

The ingredients are wrap together with the egg roll, it is more like a wrap. The egg wrap is chewy and soft, very different from the Prata that we used to eat. Adding of the ingredients really make me feel surprise on how the taste comes together. Definitely must try if you are visiting the night market.

王子起司馬鈴薯 (Prince Cheese Potato) - Taiwan Ximending/Shilin

王子起司馬鈴薯 (Prince Cheese Potato)

Cheese potatoes!!! I am sure this is most people favorite food, who doesn't like it especially with a generous  spread of cheese and other ingredients as toppings. Basically you get a mashed potato molded into a ellipsoid shape with a hardboiled egg stuff in, dipped and battered in breadcrumbs and fried it. After which, the fried potato was dissected, stuffed, and covered with pretty much whatever ingredients that you want!!! Great right???? I am pretty drooling while I was waiting for mine to be ready.

Different combination which you like your potato to be

Bacon bits, ham, turkey, corn, pineapple, broccoli, mayonnaise, and a hard boiled egg.... I want everything!!!

MORE CHEESE PLEASE!!!!

Overflowing of cheese!! Yummy Yummy. The potato taste crunchy on the outside because of the fried breadcrumbs and soft in the inside due to the mashed potato. It is especially tasty when you are eating with all the mixed ingredients. Wow! really delicious.

You can find this stall in both 士林夜市 (Shilin Night Market) or 西門町 (Ximending night Market). it cost like 55 NT ($1.75)

鴨肉扁 - Taiwan, Taipei ( Ximending)

鴨肉扁

Located at a corner of Ximending, Taipei, this restaurant serve goose dishes even though the name give an impression that they should be selling duck meat instead. With 2 floors of seats available, sometimes you will need to wait during peak hour for available seats.

Half portion of Goose - TWD 800
Quarter portion - TWD 400
Goose leg - TWD 300
Rice/Noodle/Mee Hoon or Vermicelli  - TWD 50

Goose meat are slightly braised, not too soft but tender and juicy. The meat totally absorb its marination and is very tasty. The thickness of each piece of meat are just right proportionally, you can just pop one into your mouth and chew it.

The dark sauce are especially made and it goes very well with the goose meat.

Vermicelli soup is mouth watering. Do not be deceive by its pale presentation, it is actually full of flavours. The vermicelli is very soft and chewy, it is very thin too. This is my first time seeing such thin vermicelli. The vermicelli totally absorb the broth flavour. This dish is very tasty.

Same as its counter part, this is actually serve with noodle which is very yummy

Foie gras - Wow!! No smell or mushy feel at all.

Verdict: 3.5 / 5

Price:

Food is very good and yummy, i cant eat enough, keep wanting to have more, especially for the goose meat. Really tasty and nice.

Service provided by the staffs are not that great. Some of the staff actually give attitude.

Overall, i will still come back and visit this restaurant again for their food.
