SWITZERLAND - See, Look, Shop, Experience
After spending 4 days in Paris, we took a high speed TGV Lyria train for 4 hours to reach Zurich. And here, we stayed at EasyHotel Zurich for 3 days 2 nights and our main agenda was to visit Mount Titlis. We signed up six months ago through Viator for a day tour group called Best of Switzerland. It cost S$220 per pax for this day tour which is inclusive of everything such as transport and tickets, except for lunch.
Following is the itinerary of the day tour:
0830 Gather at Sihlquai Bus Terminal
1000 Walking tour around Lucerne’s major landmarks which includes the Lion Monument, Chapel
Bridge and Town Hall. Lunch at Lucerne at own expense.
1330 Reached Mount Titlis mountain resort (given 2 1/2 hours to explore, free and easy)
1600 Gather at mountain resort meeting point
1830 Sihlquai Bus Terminal. End of day tour trip.
Best of Switzerland Tours ticket booth: located at Sihlquai bus terminal which is right beside Zurich main train station
Beautiful postcard scenery along the bus journey
Lion Monument, one of Lucerne's landmark
Chapel of Lucerne
Highlights of Mount Titlis:
1. Titlis Cliff Walk: Breathtaking walk along a suspension bridge made up of steel cables
2. Titlis Rotair: A revolving gondola which bring you up the mountain with 360 degree scenery
view
3. Glacier Cave: It is a 150 metres walkway ice tunnel with blue lighting. The tunnel is extremely
cooling and leads you to another area of the mountain.
4. Ice Flyer: The ice flyer chair will transport you to the snow park with magnificent view of the
mountain
5. Glacier Park: We had absolute fun sliding down the snow slope with rubber tires and slides
We had complete fun at Mount Titlis especially at the Glacier park where we were like young
children sliding down the snow with different sliding equipment over and over again. The only
regret is we spend too little time of the Mount Titlis and wasted too much time touring Lucerne.

Titlis Cliff Walk
Ice Flyer
Glacier Park with a loads of slides and rubber tires available along the snow slope
Travelator at the glacier park for visitors to make their way up from slope end. This certainly enhanced the sliding experience.
Verdict: 4/5

Regoli Pasticceria (Pastry) - Rome
Regoli Pasticceria is a reputable old pastry shop which sells a range of delectable pastry and cakes at affordable prices. You do not have to pay a bomb to enjoy these quality sweet treats. We were absolutely spoiled of choices as we stepped in and look at the shelves of pastry and cakes. It is a one stop place where you can find all the traditional Italian's pastry.
Right beside Regoli Pasticceria is Regoli Gelateria caffe which sells a wide range of freshly churned gelato with indoor seats within it.
Take away pastry wrapped very nicely like a present parcel.
Cornetto, Chocloate Eclair and Pistachio Puff
Cornetto- Cornetto is a common pastry in Rome. Regoli's cornetto is huge with thick pastry crust. The custard fillings were very generous, thick and firm as well
Pistachio Cream Puff - Pistachio cream was thick and fragrant. Portion of puff and cream was just nice, but i find it too sweet to finish off the sugar icing on top.
Chocolate Eclair - Another pastry which melts our heart. The fillings taste like dark chocolate, not too sweet and not diluted at all.
Bavaresi 2.50 euro- This is another Italian dessert with thick custard alike light cream sandwiched with 2 piece of pastry crusty base and thick sugar icing on top. It melt right away in the mouth due to its icy texture.
Verdict: 4/5
We visited this shop 2 times and both times did not disappoint us at all. All the pastries are reasonably priced at around 2.50 Euro, and they certainly worth its value for its given quality and quantity. Regoli is about 15 mins walking distant from the Colosseum and 10 mins walk from the nearest metro station. Other than the Colosseum, Regoli is another thing i remember for Rome!
