Palace of Versailles (aka Chateau de Versailles) is a huge palace compound which is build since 1664. It comprise of the French garden, the Grand Palace, Trianon Palaces and Marie-Antoinette's hamlet.
I would advise you to buy your tickets at its website and print out the electronic ticket so as to save time queuing to buy tickets. When you reach the palace, head straight for entrance A with your ticket

Due
to crowding from 10am to 3pm, especially on weekends and Tuesdays, we advise
you to visit the Grand Apartments either at 9am or after 3pm in order to get
more enjoyment out of visiting the Hall of Mirrors and these exceptional
spaces. Think about going to the Trianon palaces and Marie-Antoinette's hamlet
at noon to discover a more rustic and intimate aspect of Versailles.
